there\u2019s just a pumpkin, you were too late.\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Ah . . . Cinderella.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Cinderelly Cinderelly.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I drove my pumpkin<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
to pick her up<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
and we went to see a movie,we saw:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Alice<\/span><\/span><\/em> in Wonderland<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n
but in the theatre<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
(where there was free popcorn)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I did not hold her hand and<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I did not put my arm around her and<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I did not even watch the movie.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
all of these things seemed<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
suddenly impossible.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
all I could think about was taking<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
that stupid bag of free popcorn<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
and hurling it into the air<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
from this back row<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
and then<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
skipping down the backs of seats<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
amidst the falling<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
fucking popcorn.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
On the drive home it was quiet.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Pumpkins have<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
really good<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
soundproofing<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
these days.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
I tried to talk about the<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
answer to the riddle that<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
the Mad Hatter kept asking:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

that could have been worse<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
was if he had been wearing a goddamned waistcoat. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Of course it wasn\u2019t me<\/div>\n
who hit the rabbit<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
but it felt like it<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
might as well<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
have been.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
And so here I am on<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

where maybe I should be thinking of<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
how he chased all the<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
snakes from the Emerald Isle<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
but<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
it was the fucking ice age<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
that killed all the snakes<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
